Mit NEUEN und VORHANDENEN WERTEN von Produkten,
beschäftigen sich Student*Innen der Kunstuniversität Linz
5 Tage lang.

Das Grundprinzip des Workshops liegt im sogenannten „inneren Wert“ (intrinsic value) eines Produktes ‒
also nicht nur im Wert seines Materials, sondern auch seiner Funktion.
Studierende erforschen Produkte, die in ihrem derzeitigen Zustand praktisch wertlos sind, und geben ihnen neue Werte bzw. entdecken vorhandene Werte wieder. Dadurch verwandeln die Studierenden die Produkte: Sie machen sie aktueller oder ändern deren Funktion zur Gänze.

The basic principle of the workshop is the intrinsic value of a product, not just meaning the value of the material but also the function.
Even though a product is practically worthless in its current state, in researching the product itself, the students will add or rediscover new value in these products, thereby transforming them to make them more current or completely changing their function.
It should be noted that the emphasis is still on functional object in the broadest sense, not art objects.
